Inspired Blueprints...

This is my take on sketch no 14 over at Inspired Blueprints... I rotated the sketch so it would suit my photos. The lady on the slide is my... wait for it... 83yr old grandmother!!! Not really sure what she was thinking but it goes to show you are never to old!!!

Happy Easter and a scrappy update...

Hope you all have had a fantastic weekend and not eaten too much chocolate!!! We have had a nice relaxing weekend and today hubby is off playing golf so the girls and I are relaxing at home :)
My Dad is doing really well. He had two stents put in one of his blocked ateries on Wednesday and then in a couple of weeks he is getting another 2 more put in. His recovery time is amazing. He is back driving again and doing most things he did before his heart attack. Modern technology is truely amazing!!!

Anyway on to my scrappy update:
This layout was for a challenge over at D2U. I had to use fabric, more than one photo and a mask of something on the background:-

OMG...

I am so proud of myself. Now for all those technical savy people out there don't laugh!!! I just worked out how to put photos on to a USB storage thingy!!! I didn't own one until today but I needed to take some photos to school for Madison so I went and bought one. OMG I never thought it would be so easy!!! Okay so you can all stop laughing now I know I am a bit behind the times but that is okay :)

My Dad is doing okay (well quite well actually). The doctors finally decided what they are going to do. He is going back into hospital next Wednesday to have angyoplasti (sorry about the spelling). So hopefully that all goes well.

I have some scrappy updates too but again they are on the other computer which is currently busy trying to put photos on CD's for me (another thing I am not too good at). So when that is finished and I have done all the house work (only the bare essentials!!) I will upload my photos.

Again...

it has been a while since my last post!! Oneday I will get the time to update more regular :) I do have some scrappy shares but I am on the wrong computer. All my photos are on the laptop.

Any way it has not been the best week. On sunday night after we had had dinner with my parents my Dad had a heart attack. We had already gone home, which I am kind of glad about not sure how i would have coped seeing it all happen, and then it all happened. He is doing okay, which is good, and he is home now but tomorrow we find out what they (the doctors) have planned. The angyogram (no idea how to spell that!!) showed that he has 3 blocked artyries. one 50% one 70% and the other fully blocked. My Dad seems to think the doctors are leaning towards a triple bypass but I guess we will find out tomorrow. Always thought I would not have to deal with things like this until i was much older but I guess it is life and my Dad is not the most healthiest person.

Busy Busy...

Man I can't believe it is almost half way through March!!! We have had such a busy month so far...

the first weekend we had one of my dads brothers and his wife stay with us for 5 days. They live in scotland and were passing through on their way to New Zealand. It was so nice to catch up with them again. I think it was only the 3rd time I have met them. They are such lovely people and the kids absolutely adored them. Really wish I could meet his other brothers and sisters (he has 7!!) but they all live overseas either in Scotland, England or in Europe somewhere.


And then on the weekend just gone we helped my sister and her husband move house. She now just lives literally 1 minute drive away which is fantastic!! The house they bought was actually owned by the parents of a girl in Madisons class at school but the even freakier thing is that before they owned it my best friend from primary school used to live there!!! I remember having sleepovers in the lounge room!! It is such a lovely house and my kids LOVE the sandpit and cubby house.

Anyway I have also been scrapping:-

This one is for the sketch challenge over at scrap the girls. Really happy with how this one turned out. The photos I used I took on my phone and they were sooo blurry but when I changed them to sepia they actually looked not too bad.

I have another layout to share but I still need to take a photo. Maybe tomorrow :)

The Lost tooth...

Literally... It had been wobbly for about 5 weeks now with no real signs that it was going to fall out and then for lunch today she had chicken nuggets and swallowed it!! Luckily she was not too upset and her wonderful teacher helped her write a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what had happened.
And I had big scrapping plans for that tooth lol. Oh well maybe I will get the next one :)
Well must go, have tooth fairy duties tonight and I want to do some scrapping too.
